There’s a reason they call it an alpine lake

If you’re interested, the trail information can be found here. On the second day, I went beyond the Dorothy Lake Trail and climbed up to Bear Lake. Altogether, the trip was a short in actual hiking distance, but the idea was to relax.

This year, I’m planning on attacking parts of the Pacific Crest Trail in sections. Who knows, I may even do some solo, as I find that I enjoy the solitude.

    And on the third day

See, hiking makes me happy, even when I’m filthy and tired.

Aint that the truth. Hiking makes us happy! Good luck on your PCT adventures. My father and I are doing our first leg of the PCT in July 2008, from Mt Whitney to Echo Lake. I am documenting our ongoing preparation by sharing our back and forth emails on our blog… matsonianpct.blogspot.com
